Color Updates, Kitchen, Living/Dining
We updated this beautiful rustic urban cabin off of Old Germantown Road in Portland, Oregon. The owners are forest service employees, having relocated from Montana. The kitchen needed the most attention. It looked outdated and needed a refresher. We chose warm grays for the kitchen, using Colorhouse Stone.05 for the cabinets, Pental Quartz Altea for the countertops, and Clio Field Tile for the backsplash. For the great room walls, we decided on Colorhouse Air .01. These color combinations tied into the existing floor tiles, and complimented the stone fireplace. For the accent wall, we applied Colorhouse Petal .02 inspired by the color of moss. She liked modern, he preferred traditional. We found a happy balance between their tastes, adding modern light fixtures to the dining room and entryway, a complimenting leather couch, while keeping the existing dining chairs and table.
